4 Reasons to Attend Taste of Cardiff

Here are just four reasons to attend the annual event.

Cardiff 101 is inviting the community to attend Taste of Cardiff on Thursday, May 16. There are plenty of reasons to go, but if you need an excuse, here are four:

  1. Find your new favorite restaurant for the price of a meal: A $25 ticket will get you samples of food from more than 20 local eateries—all in a three hour window. Imagine how expensive it would be to find the best dish by buying a meal at each location.
  2. Put your smartphone to use: This year, the winner of the 2013 Taste of Cardiff Golden Fork Award will chosen by participants online using votes, Facebook likes and tweets. The Beach House won last year.
  3. There will be plenty of music: Live bands include Bucket Ruckus playing at Bull Taco, The Red Fox Tails at Seaside Market, Adrienne Nims at Ki's Restaurant and Russell Castiglione at Carpentier Parkway.
  4. You'll see familiar faces: Locals from all five Encinitas communities and beyond are expected at this event. And with the perfect combination of good food, the beach and music, you'll likely catch them at their best.

Taste of Cardiff takes place 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16 in downtown Cardiff-by-the-Sea and the San Elijo Campgrounds.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 day of and are available online at www.tasteofcardiff.com or at the Cardiff 101 office located at 124 Aberdeen Drive in Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
