Pacific Coast Grill Opens in Cardiff

Just in time for summer, locals have a new seaside dining option on Coast Highway 101.

opened its doors in Cardiff Tuesday afternoon, just in time for summer—and, about a year after moving from its in Solana Beach.

Owners Steve Goldberg and Phil Berkovitz have completely revamped the beachfront restaurant, which offers sweeping views of the ocean from every seat in the house. 

Goldberg’s wife and designer Georgia Goldberg worked with architect Steve Adams to create the classic Baja-inspired façade, and the interior décor blends a neutral color palette with natural beach elements, like reclaimed boat wood and rocks.

The ground level includes a raw bar, dining room and heated patio—and upstairs you’ll find another patio, bar, wine cellar, lounge area, and private dining room.

has brought back several popular dishes, including the shrimp dumplings, lobster tacos, and spicy char-pork tenderloin. There’s also West Coast black mussels, seasonal oysters, coconut-and-crab crusted mahi mahi, Hawaiian-style baby back ribs, and chile-rubbed filet mignon—just to name a few.
