Pet of the Week: Arthur

Each week, Encinitas Patch works with the Rancho Coastal Humane Society to feature a pet in need of a loving home.

This week, meet Arthur, a dog with a perpetually sunny disposition.

• Age: 1 year
• Weight: 65 pounds
• Gender: Male, neutered
• Breed: Lab/Hound mix

If you believe a dog should truly be part of a family, Arthur is right for you. This guy would do best in a home where he could tag along on daily outings and feel like he’s part of the family.

Though he’s reached full adult size, he’s mentally still a puppy and very eager to learn. With a little proper training, Arthur is sure to become the ideal dog. Volunteers also say though he’s a bit of goofball, he’s also one of the most loving dogs they’ve worked with. No matter how much you end up loving him, he’s sure to love you even more, they say. 

Arthur is available for adoption at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. His adoption fee of $125 includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and microchip identification.

Rancho Coastal Humane Society is located at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas. The hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Tuesday, when the shelter opens at 11:30 a.m.
