Pet of the Week: Eggo

Each week, Encinitas Patch works with the to feature a pet in need of a loving home.

This week, meet Eggo, a cat with dazzling eyes and a personality to match.

Type of animal: Cat

Age: 2 years

Weight: 9 pounds

Gender: Male, neutered

Breed: Lynx Point

Eggo, as you can see, is a handsome cat with beautiful markings and eyes. According to volunteers, he’s also one of those cats that sits back, props up his paws, and gets along great wherever he goes.

The care providers at RCHS also say that he's an excellent lap-sitting cat — and that once you meet him, you'll fall head over paws in love and never want to ‘leggo your Eggo.’

Eggo is available for adoption at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. His adoption fee of $125 includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and microchip identification.

 is located at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas. The hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Tuesday, when the shelter opens at 11:30 a.m.
