Sheriff's Blotter: 'Suspicious' Vehicle Report Leads to Drug Arrest

According to reports at the Encinitas station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of Sept. 13

Unless otherwise noted, all suspects were booked into County Jail in Vista. Information is based on public records on file at the Encinitas station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

  • Deputies arrested George Castro, 31, on a felony drug allegation following a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 block of Neptune Avenue on Sept. 5. He was booked on an outstanding warrant, in addition to suspicion of possessing controlled substances and a misdemeanor allegation of possessing unlawful paraphernalia.
  • Deputies arrested Michael Ko, 26, Sept. 10 shortly fate 2 a.m. on suspicion of driving with a measurable amount of alcohol in his system while on probation for DUI. The traffic stop was reported at South Coast Highway 101 at East E Street, according to a report.
  • Laura Parr, 52, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and possession of an open container following a traffic stop at Leucadia Boulevard at Del Rio Avenue at 10:31 a.m. Sept. 10.
  • A 26-year-old man was arrested on a felony drug allegation after deputies were called to the 400 block of West B Street at 3:12 p.m. Sept. 10. Buckland Foreman was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.
  • Deputies arrested Daniel Chiavario, 37, after being called to the 600 block of South Coast Highway 101 at 11:33 p.m. Sept. 10 on suspicion of resisting arrest and public drunkenness.
  • Lisa Richmond, 41, was arrested on suspicion of felony drug possession and drunken driving after being stopped at North El Portal Street at La Mesa Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Sept. 9.
  • Two juveniles were cited and released after being stopped in the 2100 block of Encinitas Boulevard after being called at Sept. 9 shortly after 10 p.m. Both were cited on misdemeanors of public drunkenness and infractions of marijuana possession and being minors in possession of smoking paraphernalia.
  • Deputies arrested Yolanda Ledford, 49, on suspicion of resisting arrest and being under the influence of a controlled substance at 10:25 a.m. Sept. 8 near West C Street.
  • Christopher Rogers, 26, was arrested following a traffic stop at East E Street shortly after 1 a.m. Sept. 7 on suspicion of drunken driving and violating probation.
  • A 75-year-old man was cited and released following a traffic stop Sept. 6 in the 1000 block of North El Camino Real at 10:4 a.m. Thomas Borst was released after receiving citations for driving on a suspended license and driving with expired vehicle registration.
  • Deputies arrested George Castro, 31, on a felony drug allegation following a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 block of Neptune Avenue on Sept. 5. He was booked on an outstanding warrant, in addition to suspicion of possessing controlled substances and a misdemeanor allegation of possessing unlawful paraphernalia.
  • Kathy Houser, 46, was arrested; on a felony allegation after an unidentified victim reported a minor injury in the 1100 block of Arcadia Road at 10:31 p.m. Sept. 3
  • SDG&E reported hit-and-run property damage at Santa Fe Drive and Blue SKy Drive shortly before 10 p.m. Aug. 31. No arrests nor suspect information was reported. No damage estimate was given.
  • Two unnamed juveniles were detained on curfew violations after deputies were called to a reported disturbance at 9:48 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 2200 block of 11th Street on Aug. 27. Both were released about ten minutes after deputies arrived, according to a report.
  • Jessica Peterson, 30, was arrested following a traffic stop at North Coast Highway 101 at La Costa Avenue shortly after midnight Aug. 26. Her probation was revoked and she booked on suspicion of drunken driving.
  • Deputies cited and released Suetta Gillard, 72, on suspicion of drunken driving following a non-injury traffic accident in the 200 block of North El Camino Real reported at 8:45 p.m. Aug. 26. No injuries were reported.

  • West D Street at 4th Street, 9:58 a.m. Sept. 7. Gray, four-door sedan valued at $19,000.
  • 2000 block of South Coast Highway 101, 2:08 p.m. Sept. 3. White pickup valued at $15,000.

Grand thefts, residential and commercial burglaries, hot prowls (Value of items reported stolen ranged from $50 -  $8,225)

  • 500 block of Circa De Tierra, 4:16 p.m. Sept. 10.
  • 1000 block of North El Camino Real, 30:10 p.m. Sept. 9.
  • 1300 block of South El Camino Real, 7:23 a.m. Sept. 8.
  • 1300 block of Calle Christopher, 7:41 a.m. Sept. 2.
  • 700 block of Fieldstone Lane, 8:30 a.m. Sept. 2.
  • 1200 block of Calle Christopher, 2:17 p.m. Sept. 2.

  • 700 block of Clark Avenue, 1:52 p.m. Sept. 10.
  • San Dieguito Academy, 800 Santa Fe Drive, 1:05 a.m. Sept. 9. Damage reported as "miscellaneous," value set at $100.
