Surf Report & Forecast for September 7-8
Clean conditions, water temps but small surf on tap for today.
Inconsistent 2-foot pop-up peaks are about the only thing showing this morning. It would be a good day to keep the paddling muscles in shape by going for a long cruisy paddle. Just beware of the Swami's Shark, haha.
Water temp is still below normal but has creeped back up a few degrees. Call it low 60s.
West and northwest wind is likely to kick up past 10 knots today, sometime after noon. Next tide is low at 12:45 p.m. at 2.4 feet. With a full moon next week, we'll have some sunset session high tides. Tonight's is at 6:45 p.m. at 5.6 feet.

Sunset is barely past 7:00 p.m.; 7:06 to be precise. Reef breaks seem to be lethargic. Some standout beach breaks might occasionally have some fun chest high drop ins.
For tomorrow, Thursday the 8th, don't expect bigger surf; if anything, models show the SW weakening even more to 2 feet max.
