The Greatest Generation Naval Museum is conducting a veteran outreach program to provide home cooked evening meals to military veterans with injuries living and rehabilitating at Naval Medical Center San Diego (Balboa) and Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital.
Volunteers are needed to conduct food preparation, cook on site, and to serve to military personnel. Food will be prepared initially at a Rancho Bernardo commissary/kitchen and then cooked on site in a state of the art mobile kitchen. Volunteers that can cook and or have a food services background are encouraged but not required. There will be a certified chef on hand to lead the food preparation and cooking effort.
