SDSU Offers Wine Course on Sensory Evaluation

SDSU’s College of Extended Studies will offer “Sensory Evaluation” on Monday, May 12 from 6-9 pm as part of its Professional Certificate in the Business of Wine program that is designed to prepare you for success in wine-related occupations.

In this course, you will learn how to taste wine like a professional by being taught how to objectively evaluate a wine by sight, smell and taste. You will learn the building blocks of blind tasting, or how to use sensory information to help determine the quality, origin, age, and varietal composition of a wine.
