Encinitas' Heritage Museum to Host 2014 Western National Model T Club Tour
Submitted by San Dieguito Heritage Museum
The San Diego Model T Club will be hosting the Americas Finest City Tour next week. This tour has been designated as the MTFCA Western National tour for 2014.
Thanks to the invaluable work done by museum member, Warren Raps, with our own 1917 Model T, the Model T Club of America is making our Encinitas museum a stop during the tour on Monday, July 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. They will drive up the coast from San Diego to the San Dieguito Heritage Museum for a pit stop and lunch at our picnic tables, filling our parking lot with up to 45 classic Model T’s. Car owners will be more than happy to show off their cars and answer questions. If only these cars could talk, what history they could tell!

The 2014 Western National tour will take the participants to the many sites that make San Diego so unique. These will include the North County beaches, Torrey Pines, La Jolla, Mount Soledad, Point Loma, Mission Beach, Mission Trails, Coronado, the Coronado Bridge, the aircraft carrier Midway, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park and Old Town. We are very excited to be chosen as an addition to this exciting tour.
The Museum is located at 450 Quail Gardens Road in Encinitas. Guests and spectators are asked to park in the lot across from the Museum on Ecke Ranch Rd. at the Children’s Garden to allow the "Ts" to utilize the museum's parking.
