Encinitas Surf Report: Feb. 14

This Valentine's Day swell is a heartbreaker.

If you're back at work this morning, sitting at a cubicle all day dreaming of catching some epic waves, take comfort in the fact that you're not missing any real swell.

It's pretty much flat this morning. No need to drive from San Elijo Hills to come check out the surf. Besides a handful of surf kayakers and a surf P.E. class, there's hardly anybody out in the water.

It's too bad—if there'd been some swell, it would look beautiful with light offshore winds and clear skies.
