Free 'Carbon Nation' Screening at MiraCosta San Elijo

Talk to the director of this documentary, and learn about climate change solutions this weekend.

Whether you’re environmentally conscious or not, Carbon Nation is the film to see. ’s Associated Students is previewing the green film for free this weekend.

Carbon Nation is a documentary about “energy solutions that boost the economy, increase national security and promote a healthy, clean environment,” according to the school’s site. The movie’s tagline states that it’s a climate change solutions film, whether you believe in the theory or not.

The on Saturday includes a Q&A with the film’s director, Peter Byck, after the preview. Come ready with questions about carbon footprints and climate changes.

To save yourself a spot at this event, click here. The showing is on the San Elijo campus and doors open at 11 a.m. with the movie starting at 11:30 a.m. Questions with Byck will start at 1 p.m.

Carbon Nation is a nominee for the 21st Annual Environmental Media Awards in the documentary category.
