Free Massages, Acupuncture and More at the Encinitas Library Jan. 25

San Diego County Supervisor Dave Roberts and Encinitas Mayor Teresa Barth will appear at the Wellness Week Festival on Saturday, January 25, at 1:30pm.

San Diego County Supervisor Dave Roberts and Encinitas Mayor Teresa Barth will appear at the Wellness Week Festival on Saturday, January 25, at 1:30pm.  They will speak about the County’s Live Well San Diego program and the role played by the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association, especially the annual presentation of Wellness Week. 

Supervisor Roberts will recognize the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association as a Live Well San Diego partner, noting Encintas 101’s Wellness Week, farmers market, bike valets and other wellness-related activities.  Mayor Barth will speak about the City’s multi-faceted role as a Live Well partner.  Also, Encinitas 101 Assistant Director Rick Moore will announce the launch of a new program, Viva MainStreet!, which will provide wellness benefits to  employees of all Downtown Encinitas businesses. This Saturday’s festival, held at the Encinitas library from 11am to 3pm, will have a wide range of activities and exhibits, including:          

Free massages and acupuncture treatments
Screenings for body fat, blood pressure, depression and sleep apnea
Cooking classes
Demos of the latest wellness technologies and fitness equipment
Free samples of healthy meals, bars and drinks
Scheduled presentations on juicing, veterinary acupuncture, surf fitness and more
Kids’ activities and free children’s vision and hearing screenings
Healthy food vendors
