It can be difficult to keep your kids healthy and promote good habits. But the local YMCA is making it fun for the whole family this weekend.
The is hosting on Saturday. The event is geared toward teaching kids that being active is both fun and healthy. More than 1,900 YMCAs across the country are holding a Healthy Kids Day the same day.
Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA will have plenty of free activities that the whole family can feel good about participating in. Healthy Kids Day will feature games, circuit exercises for kids, a rock climbing wall, inflatable obstacle course, face painting and arts and crafts. This year’s event will also showcase a demo of two Search and Rescue beagles as well as a visit from the Encinitas Fire Department with their new ladder fire truck, demo ambulance and crew.

will be providing healthy snacks to all participants at the event, so kids can see that eating healthy is delicious.
