Locals Only: Chhris Dougherty

Surfboard company owner and Cardiff resident has a full quiver.

“By surfers, for surfers” is the motto of Quiver Boardworks, a custom surfboard brand based in Oceanside. The head surfer in charge is Chhris Dougherty, a Cardiff resident for 23 years who lives here with wife Cori and their 14-month-old, Asher. He started the company in 2007 and says the boards — including the Underdog, PoppySeed, and the McH (named after Quiver team member Eric McHenry)—are known for their big air and deep barrels. For more on Quiver, visit quiverboardworks.com. For more on Dougherty, read on.
