Military Family Transferred out of State and Couldn't Take Cat Along

Ivy is our pet of the week at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society

"Ivy” is the pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 2 year old, 10 pound, spayed, female, Torbie cat. Torbie is a combination of Tortoise Shell and Tabby.

Ivy gets skittish when she hears loud noises. She loves having her back scratched and sitting on a nice, warm lap. Ivy likes to perch in high places so she can view her surroundings. She also enjoys her mouse toys and playing hide-and-seek.

Ivy has a sweet purr-sonality. She’s lived with a dog and has spent time with children. She seems to get along with other cats and she doesn’t mind going for a ride in the car.

Ivy arrived at Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS program. She was adopted, then returned when her military family was transferred out of state and couldn’t take her along. Ivy’s $100 adoption fee includes medical exam, vaccinations, spay, and microchip.

To adopt Ivy or sponsor a pet until its new family takes it home, call 760-753-6413...log on to SDpets.org...or visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas.
Kennels and cattery are open Wednesday through Monday from 11 to 5.
