THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER

  • What's Up: MiraCosta College Theater Department will host a play about the murder of gay student Matthew Shepard. The play will uncover what has happened 10 years after his death. 
  • When: 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20; 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. 
  • Where: MiraCosta College, 1 Barnard Dr, Oceanside.
  • Price: $8-$12.

SAN DIEGO STORYTELLING FESTIVAL

  • What's Up: The Storytellers of San Diego and the Encinitas Branch of the San Diego County Library will host storytelling activities for the entire family. Workshops include storytime for preschoolers, storytelling for business owners, games and more.
  • When: 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. 
  • Where: Encinitas Library, 540 Cornish Dr, Encinitas.
  • Price: Free. 

ARTURN: ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR

  • What's Up: La Costa Canyon High School will host an arts and performance fair. The event will include artisan booths, grand re-opening of farmers market, music, dance and comedy performances, food trucks and raffles. Proceeds will benefit the High School's Visual and Performing Arts Department.
  • When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20.
  • Where: La Costa Canyon High School Parking Lot, 1 Maverick Way, Carlsbad.

8TH ANNUAL ENCINITAS GARDEN FESTIVAL AND TOUR

  • What's Up: The annual Garden Festival and Tour will feature private gardens in the Olivenhain neigh­bor­hood. The event will highlight community, gardening and horticultural heritage of Encinitas. Parking will be available at MiraCosta College San Elijo campus with shuttle buses to the Marketplace. 
  • When: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20.
  • Where: Parking is at MiraCosta College San Elijo Campus; 3333 Manchester Ave, Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
  • Price: $7-$30.

MS WALK LEGOLAND

  • What's Up: Join Team Carlsbad and local walkers to help raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Walk MS is a community event to find a cure for the disease. 
  • When: 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 21.
  • Where: LEGOLAND California, 1 Legoland Dr, Carlsbad.
