Age: 6 years 9 months

Weight: 70 pounds

Gender: Male, neutered

Breed: Labrador Retriever mix

Okay with dogs? Loves other dogs (and flowers and trees and people, etc)

Okay with cats? Hasn't been around cats since arriving at RCHS

Cooper was surrendered to Rancho Coastal Humane Society when his family moved to a place where dogs are not allowed. Because he’s only 6-year-old, there's still a lot of puppy left in him. Cooper's not huge, but he is a large dog at 70 pounds.

He's a happy boy who wants to greet other dogs, people, and everything he sees. Cooper's tail is a mood indicator. It's almost always wagging. Sit down and he'll roll on his back so you can rub his tummy. Cooper is also versatile. He'll make a great exercise partner or couch-holder-downer. He's a smart boy and would love to impress you with his tricks.

Cooper is available for adoption at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. His adoption fee is $125, which includes a medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and microchip.

is located at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas. The hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Tuesday, when the shelter opens at 11:30 a.m.
