"Douglas” is the pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 2 year old, 69 pound, neutered, male, yellow Labrador Retriever.

Douglas is a big dog…but not huge. One of the care providers in the kennels described him as “beefy.” He’s pretty much everything you would expect from a 2 year old Lab. Douglas is always happy. You can see that from his big, goofy smile. He has a huge personality and tons of energy. Douglas loves everyone he meets. He loves other dogs. He loves! Now all he needs is a family that is ready to take all the love he has to give.

Douglas was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society from another facility through the Friends of County Animal Shelters program. The $145 adoption fee includes medical exam, up to date vaccinations, neuter, and microchip identification.

To adopt Douglas or sponsor a pet until its new family takes it home, call 760-753-6413...log on to SDpets.org...or visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas.
Kennels and cattery are open Wednesday through Monday from 11 to 5.
