Village Park Sign Warns Pet Owners About Coyotes

This banner is on Mountain Vista right by the 7-11

The following is from a report on Fox 5 San Diego:

On Monday Kerri Moore let her two dogs out to use the bathroom in her Encinitas yard. The area is surrounded by a 6 ft. fence. When Buster, her 14 year old Maltese-mix, didn’t come back in, she went outside to check on him.

“I just see Buster laying on the ground and he’s not moving and the coyote’s just walking slowly along the wall,” said Moore.

Moore said two large coyotes had scaled the fence and at least one of them had attacked the dog.

Moore and her husband, Tom, posted a large sign along their fence on Mountain Vista Drive to warn neighbors of the danger.

Another neighbor wrote on the banner that their dog also was killed by a coyote.
