Surf Report & Forecast for March 20-21

Stormy, windy conditions expected with gusts from the south as high as 25 mph; decent wave heights continue.

West-northwest swell continues to hold decent size, call it 3-4 feet with occasional 5-foot standouts but a front blowing strong winds from the south and possibly rain could spoil the surf.

Wave shape is a on the sectiony side, but every once in a while an appealing face will roll through.

High tide peaks at 10:30 a.m. at 5.3 feet, still affected by high tide. Tide goes low at 4:20 p.m., which coincides with the vernal equinox.

Sunset tonight: 7:05 p.m. and dark by 7:58 p.m.

For tomorrow, March 21, expect similar wave size: chest- to occasional head-high but form is expected to be lousy and bumpy tomorrow with strong west winds.

There's a chance early tomorrow will be decent, so if you're fortunate enough not to be a desk jockey get on it before the rain and wind does.

Dawn patrol begins at 6:00 a.m. and sunrise is at 6:55 a.m.
