Surf Report & Forecast for March 26-27

Mixed swell with 3-4 foot sets sticks around.

For those concerned about water quality since our last significant rain event (March 23), you'll be happy to now that the 72-hour general advisory lifts today. To keep abreast of local beach quality conditions, including closures and general advisories, visit here.

This morning, the mixed-up swell that's been present for the better part of the last couple of months sticks around today, albeit not as strong, with waves, sectiony as they may be, tapering off into the 3-4 foot range, with occasional 5-footers.

Things are cold and gray this morning but water temperature remains steady at around 58 degrees.

Conditions are looking fine this morning, but now that we are in the spring wind doldrums, expect wind to increase from an onshore or southerly direction up to 15 mph.

Tide is draining until about 11 a.m. to 0.1 feet and then fills in to over 3 feet at about 6:30 p.m.

For tomorrow, March 27, wind isn't expected to be as strong as today, making surfing conditions manageable, although an onshore wind chop might still be present. Wave heights will be similar to today. For those paddling out for dawn patrol or early morning sessions, the tide will be going out but will be at ideal mid-tide levels. Tide hits low tomorrow at noon (o feet).
