Surf Report & Forecast: March 29-30

Knee- to waist-high inconsistent gray morning.

Overcast conditions with meager wave heights dominate today's area beaches.

The sun should break through by late morning but the WNW swell and background SW swells have diminished without any new swells forecasted for the near future.

Wave heights are knee- to waist-high with the very inconsistent chest-high. Wave lengths are short and peaky with playable faces. The main swell is mid-period but background swells are very long-period, making for inconsistent sets.

All in all, not looking like a great day for surf but if the fog burns off, late morning sessions coinciding with the suckout tide could be fun, as well as the early afternoon incoming push.

For tomorrow, March 30, expect similar conditions—perhaps even cleaner with beautiful weather, making combo spots potentially fun. We'll likely see the same waist-high conditions, but it'll be worth waiting for the random chest-high perfect peeler.

Dawn patrol starts at 5:45 a.m. and sunrise occurs at 6:42 a.m. High tide peaks at just under 5 feet at 7:45 a.m.
