Every Tuesday in October, the Encinitas library is filled with horror and you can witness it.
In honor of the silly “Horror Awareness Month,” the library is showing spooky movies afternoon. Last week, viewers got to watch the horror Hitchcock classic The Birds. Tomorrow, teens and adults can watch The Grudge, from 2004.
Grudge follows the story of an American nurse, Karen, living and working in Tokyo. Karen is exposed to a mysterious supernatural curse (the grudge) that locks a person in a powerful rage, kills them and continues to spread from person to person.
Grab a friend, remove your nail polish (to prepare for all that biting!) and get ready to be scared. The movie, which is rated PG-13, shows at 4 p.m. at the Encinitas Library tomorrow for free. Halloween-themed snacks and popcorn will be served. We won’t tell if you sleep with the lights on after watching The Grudge.
