Brazilian Artist To Showcase Work at City Hall

Leticia Demeuse's solo show "De Corpo E Alma" will be on display at Encinitas City Hall from mid-April through May.

A new art exhibit will take over parts of City Hall beginning April 19.

Brazilian artist Leticia Demeuse's solo show “” will be on display at Encinitas City Hall starting mid-April. “De Corpo E Alma” consists of work created by Demeuse in her studio in Carlsbad as well as in her hometown Porto Alegre, Southern Brazil.

Demeuse earned a degree in publicity and advertising before completing an MBA in marketing. She worked for a large TV company for several years and then began handling publicity for a shopping center. In 2004, she moved to the U.S and started selling her work, making art her full-time career.

“De Corpo E Alma” is free to the public and will take place in the Encinitas City Hall from April 19 to May 31. It will be open to visitation from Monday to Friday; from 7am to 6pm. City Hall is closed on alternate Fridays.

If you like what you see, you can purchase Demeuse’s artwork and 10 percent of the profits will be donated to Brazilian charity Instituto do Cancer infantil.
