This Holiday Season, families will be thrilled to begin their "Full of Magic Season" holiday festivities with Encinitas's Ballet magnificent production of Tchaikovsky's
The Nutcracker at 2 pm & 6 pm Saturday, December 21st at the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center, 3557 Monroe St. Carlsbad.
Encinitas Ballet celebrates its 6th anniversary Nutcracker Performance. Giant mice doing battle with toy soldiers, dancing snowflakes, and nutcracker transforms into handsome prince, choreographed to the music of Tchaikovsky, are all just few of the magical components of cherished ballets in history, The Nutcracker. Directed and choreographed by Encinitas Ballet Academy and Arts Center internationally acclaimed choreographers, teachers and Artistic Directors Sayat Asatryan and Olga Tchekachova.
Starring highly trained and professional dancers from Voronezh and Bolshoi Ballet Academy will be coming to Encinitas straight from Russia to join Encinitas Ballet local dancers. Elizaveta Shedrina, Gold Medalist and Grand Prix winner in France, will be dancing Sugar Plum role. An accomplished performer Dmitrie Antipov, with numerous internationally performed leading roles and solo credits to his name, among them being principal dancer for the Voronezh Ballet Theatre, will perform the role of Cavalier.
It's every young ballerina's dream to dance the role of Clara on stage in The Nutcracker. For two young dancers at Encinitas Ballet Academy, their dream has come true.
The rising local stars Cathlin Marsh and Kendall Morris will perform role of Clara. The Encinitas Ballet Academy is the finest established classical ballet school in the North County with an extensive history and reputation for creating talented, strong classical ballet dancers.
