Encinitas Environment Day

Celebrate the 6th Annual Encinitas Environment Day (EEDay) at Cottonwood Creek Park. More information at www.eeday.org

The event is free and fun for residents of all ages.

Celebrate the earth and discover fun, new ways to live more environmentally sustainable lifestyles. EEDay is held in conjunction with the United Nations World Environment Day, and will be filled with food, music, new environmental concepts, and interactive activities for the kids, including an eco-scavenger hunt.

Parking available at the Train Station, but if you walk or bike you can enter a drawing for the grand prize, a new Electra bicycle.  Other raffle prizes include tickets to Legoland, the San Diego Zoo and the Birch Aquarium.

El Camino Bike Shop will have bike and helmet safety instruction and a Bike Rodeo from 11am to 2pm.

Free Flight Exotic Birds will perform at 11:30 and 2:30

The event is presented by the Solana Center for Environmental Innovation, along with support from the City of Encinitas and the Mizel Family Foundation, Dudek Engineering, Studio Aiuto Design & Marketing, Olivenhain Municipal Water District and DEMA.  The City's Environmental Commission and many other agencies, non-profits and environmentally aware businesses will have booths for you to enjoy and learn.
