Basket weaver Sue Kamin presents Environmental Art: Seeing the World around Us with New Eyes at the Encinitas Library.

The show runs from April 12-June 4. The opening reception is April 29 from 2-4 p.m.

Kamin uses the techniques used by basket weavers from Appalachia to the Southwest to make her pine needle baskets.

She has taught classes privately, through the University of California at San Diego, and on the first basket weaving cruise to the Caribbean. This past February, Kamin taught at the Georgia Basketry Convention in Roswell, Georgia.

The Library hours are:

  • Monday-Thursday 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Friday-Saturday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Sunday noon-5 p.m.

Your right Jac, women do not have Equal Rights, they are treated as 2nd Class citizens here in theRead More USA. The ERA will not pass congress, you can blame it on the Republicans , but there a lot of Demo's also think we do not need to pass it...!!!
