Fall Harvest: Watercolor Journaling in the Garden

Embrace the day exploring botanical details with watercolor, collage, and ink journaling style. This workshop taught by Helen Shafer Garcia, will focus on combinations of drawing and painting botanical elements with thoughtful descriptive words. We’ll create pockets in the journal of our collaged harvest of dried leaves and other found nature elements. Don’t worry if you’ve never painted or drawn before—this method will strengthen your drawing and painting skills at every level. Discover form and color while developing plant studies and record reflective, descriptive annotations which will provide valuable information about the experience.
