San Dieguito Heritage Museum's Annual Lima Bean Cook-off

In conjunction with the City of Encinitas 25th Anniversary Celebration, local chefs compete to see who can bring the most taste and style to the lowly lima bean.  Before there were flower crops in Encinitas, Limas were the important crop of the early settlers of Encinitas.  Tho celebrate this agricultrual history, the Lima Bean Cook-off will offer many delicious dishes, the best of which will be awarded cash prizes and trophies.  Tastings are available with a donation to the museum.
