Video: Renown Classical Singer to Perform in Encinitas Jan. 18

Laurie Rubin will sing at the Encinitas Library and speak about growing up blind.

Mezzo-soprano Laurie Rubin has sung on stages from Longdon's Wigmore Hall to the White House. On January 18, she will bring her talents to Encinitas.

She will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Encinitas Library.

Rubin has been blind since birth and authored the book: Do You Dream in Color?: Insights from a Girl Without Sight and was profiled in November in the Wall Street Journal.

Tickets for the performance are $12 and can be purchased at: www.EncinitaCA.gov/Concerts, in person at City Hall, 505 S. Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas, CA 92024, or by calling: (760) 633-2740.
