'Cardiff Kook' and Bar Leucadian Go Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Coast Highway 101 is dotted in pink today.

There are at least two public displays along Coast Highway that promote breast cancer awareness: The Cardiff Kook statue is decked out in pink — tutu, feather boa and all; and a few miles north, has been painted entirely pink.

October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and tomorrow Susan G. Komen will host its annual Race for the Cure at Balboa Park, followed by its 3-Day for The Cure walk the following week.
