Public Meetings about San Elijo Lagoon Restoration Slated for This Week

One will happen today and the other will be Thursday.

Over the past few years, the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy has been providing the public glimpses into the planning for the full restoration of the reserve's aquatic system — an effort called San Elijo Lagoon Restoration Project. This week, there will be two public meetings to discuss the Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS), as required by California Environmental Quality Act and the National Environmental Policy Act (CEQA/NEPA). 

The public is invited to come learn more about project alternatives and to express support for making San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve the best it can be. The public meetings aim to help residents understand this project, the various alternatives, and the benefits of each alternative.
