101 original paintings will be unveiled after the countdown at the Arts Alive Unveiling Reception 12 p.m. Saturday at 1950 N. Coast Hwy, Leucadia.After the Unveiling Reception the paintings will be on exhibit on the light standards along the Coast Highway for 3 months.
This annual event has become the art event of the year to attend and has historically brought 300 people together to be the first to view the artwork and the first to bid on their favorite paintings.
Silent bidding starts at the Reception and continues while the art is on display by phoning Leucadia 101 at 760-436-2320, culminating in a Live Auction on Sunday May 26, 2013.
This year's Arts Alive exhibit is sponsored by Hansen's, Belmont Village Senior Living, and Cardiff Seaside Market along with The Coast News Group. Brought to you by 101 Artists' Colony, Cardiff 101 MainStreet, and Leucadia 101 MainStreet.
