The popular bakery Boudin SF will open its newest location June 6 in Encinitas at Camino Village Plaza at 296 N. El Camino Real, near HomeGoods. If you’re a fan of sourdough bread, make sure to get in line early that Thursday for its 7 a.m. opening as the company announced a treat to early birds:
To welcome the local community, Boudin SF will reward the first 100 customers in line with a free loaf of its world famous Original San Francisco Sourdough French Bread every day for one year. The first spot in line will be reserved for North County Food Bank, the subsidiary of a local organization, North County Community Services. On June 4 and 5, the new location will host pre-opening events whose proceeds will be donated directly to a local charity, Conner’s Cause.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of Boudin SF in Encinitas, our seventh Southern California location,” CEO Dave Wolfgram said. “This is the second of many Boudin SF locations opening in 2013, and we expect another positive reception from our guests. As always, we look forward to bringing a little bit of San Francisco to this new store and supporting the local Encinitas community through North County Food Bank and Conner’s Cause.”

The location will host pre-opening services during breakfast, lunch and dinner; guests will be asked to donate a pay-what-you-can contribution at the door for the organization. All proceeds from these events – open to the public – will be given directly to Conner’s Cause, which donates 100% of funds raised directly to the families in which they support.
