Boudin SF Bakery to Open Encinitas Location June 6 at Camino Village Plaza

The first first 100 customers in line with a free loaf of its world famous Original San Francisco Sourdough French Bread every day for one year.

The popular bakery Boudin SF will open its newest location June 6 in Encinitas at Camino Village Plaza at 296 N. El Camino Real, near HomeGoods. If you’re a fan of sourdough bread, make sure to get in line early that Thursday for its 7 a.m. opening as the company announced a treat to early birds:

To welcome the local community, Boudin SF will reward the first 100 customers in line with a free loaf of its world famous Original San Francisco Sourdough French Bread every day for one year.  The first spot in line will be reserved for North County Food Bank, the subsidiary of a local organization, North County Community Services. On June 4 and 5, the new location will host pre-opening events whose proceeds will be donated directly to a local charity, Conner’s Cause.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of Boudin SF in Encinitas, our seventh Southern California location,” CEO Dave Wolfgram said.  “This is the second of many Boudin SF locations opening in 2013, and we expect another positive reception from our guests.  As always, we look forward to bringing a little bit of San Francisco to this new store and supporting the local Encinitas community through North County Food Bank and Conner’s Cause.”

As an expanding brand with seven Southern California locations, Boudin SF finds the perfect home in San Diego County’s laid-back yet high-quality lifestyle.  Boudin SF offers convenient, great-tasting alternatives to home-cooked meals for busy professionals, parents, commuters and anyone seeking a fresh, healthy lunch or dinner on the go.  Boudin SF also provides a fun, family-friendly atmosphere for those wishing to eat at the restaurant, serving freshly-made breakfast, lunch and dinner in the famed Boudin San Francisco tradition and featuring Boudin Bakery’s legendary Original San Francisco Sourdough French Bread made fresh every day.

On June 4 and 5, Boudin SF in Encinitas will hold a fundraiser for Conner’s Cause, an Encinitas-based non-profit that provides critical financial assistance to over 400 families struggling to cover the out of pocket costs of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness or injury.  The location will host pre-opening services during breakfast, lunch and dinner; guests will be asked to donate a pay-what-you-can contribution at the door for the organization.  All proceeds from these events – open to the public – will be given directly to Conner’s Cause, which donates 100% of funds raised directly to the families in which they support.  Individuals must RSVP to attend the pre-opening services by signing up online: www.events4boudinsf.com.

In keeping with the tech-savvy, busy nature of the modern diner, Boudin SF will to continue to offer a newly improved Web-to-Go service, an easy and convenient alternative to waiting in line, allowing customers to order lunch or dinner online through a simple three-step process.  Guests can use this service by simply logging on the Boudin Bakery Website:www.Boudinwebtogo.com

Boudin Bakery, established in 1849 and the oldest continuously operating business in San Francisco, is the creator of The Original San Francisco Sourdough French Bread™ that has enthralled generations of San Franciscans and is sought after by visitors from around the world.  With a dark-golden, crunchy crust and soft, chewy, tangy center, Boudin Sourdough bread is one of a kind.  Leavened only with wild yeast “caught” from San Francisco’s fog-cooled air, Boudin’s original “mother dough” has been replenished with flour and water every day for more than 160 years.

Boudin SF will be open Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.  For daily menu updates and to place phone orders, call (760) 274-1520.
