If you’re in the mood to get your hands on a meaty sub, you’ve only got two months to wait.
Firehouse Subs will open next to Kohl’s on Camino Real as early as April, spokeswoman Emily Oliver told Patch.
Franchisee Bill Mutz also owns the Oceanside location, which opened in March of last year. Firehouse Subs—a Florida-based company founded by firefighters—features various firefighter-themed sandwiches.
The New York Steamer has corned beef brisket, pastrami, melted provolone and Italian dressing. The firehouse hero has roast beef, turkey, Virginia honey ham and melted provolone. The engineer sub has turkey breast, melted Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms.
Order the sub “fully involved” to get it with mayonnaise, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a kosher dill pickle on the side, according to its menu.
