“We're thrilled to have new nonstop service to Colorado Springs,” said Thella Bowens, president and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. “San Diegans will now have direct access to the majestic beauty of Pikes Peak, and those in Southern Colorado will be able to head straight to the beaches of San Diego.”

The small airport at Colorado Springs is generally uncrowded, providing quick access to Pikes Peak, the U.S. Air Force Academy and developing areas south of Denver. Frontier Airlines already flies between San Diego and Denver International Airport.
