Hidden Gem: Peace Pies a Raw, Vegan, Gluten-Free Eatery in Encintas
Peace Pies is located behind Mozy's at 133 Daphne Street.
JP Alfred started Peace Pies in Ocean Beach seven years ago. He noticed customers from North County would commute to OB for the food and decided two years ago that the demand was high enough to open a second location in Encinitas.
Peace Pies is located behind Mozy's Cafe at 133 Daphne Street.
All the food is organic, gluten-free, raw and purchased at local businesses and at five farmers markets.
I tried the mystical mushroom quesadilla with walnut meat. It was delicious and came with kale chips.
Also on the menu are sweets and a green smoothie that sounded great, but I was too full after the quesadilla.
