SPY Optic Bike Ride to Benefit Challenged Athletes Foundation

The event begins 6:30 a.m. Sunday at 2070 Las Palmas Drive and will be followed with a feast at 2:30.

SPY Optic will hold a grueling bike ride to benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation Sunday.

The SPY Belgian Waffle Ride is a 126-mile bike ride through north county San Diego starting at SPY headquarters in Carlsbad, spokeswoman Maddy Isbell told Patch.

The event begins 6:30 a.m. at 2070 Las Palmas Drive and will be followed with a feast at 2:30.

The company has 350 cyclists participating in the event including U.S. and National Champions and CAF ambassadors and athletes "One-Arm" Willie Stewart and Matt Bigos.
