Update: Craftsman New American Tavern Opening June 26

The eatery will serve "hand-crafted comfort food," and eventually offer lunch, happy hour, dinner, and brunch.

Ever since  closed a few months ago, a lot of locals have been wondering what’s going on behind all those paper-covered windows. Soon, they’ll get their first peak.

Wade Hageman, the same culinary mastermind who brought you Blue Ribbon Pizzeria, will unveil his latest venture, , on June 26.

For the first month of operation, the restaurant will open at 3:30 p.m. for happy hour and dinner every day, except Monday. After that, service will be extended to include lunch, happy hour, and dinner every day of the week—plus brunch on the weekends.

“You can expect things like a beautiful roasted chicken, macaroni and cheese —simple dishes done well with the best ingredients,” Hageman He’ll rely on local farms, wineries and breweries, and serve “hand-crafted comfort food,” like house-made sausages, and artisan cheeses. Fans of Blue Ribbon Pizzeria, will also be happy to find the same black seed popcorn with truffle salt, Caesar salad, and butterscotch pudding on the menu.

The public deserves an objective, unemotional, factual public debate on this proposition. So far IRead More am still leaning toward a yes vote, but I am keeping an open mind at least through this month.
