The 58,000 square-foot store will carry home and patio items, jewelry and watches, and clothing for men, women and kids — including Halloween costumes. Every Wednesday, shoppers who are ages 60 and older will save an extra 15 percent on their in-store purchases.
Kohl’s has received the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Green Power Partner of the Year award for the past two years and it has been recognized with the EPA Green Power Leadership awards for four consecutive years. In an effort to continue that reputation, the Encinitas store will recycle its construction materials; use occupancy sensor lighting for stockrooms, dressing rooms, break rooms and offices; use energy management systems to control heating and cooling systems; and run a recycling program for cardboard boxes, hangers and packaging.
