The OCCUPY Movement is Expanding and It's a Great Time to Get Involved

"We are the 99%! You are the 99%!"

This is one of the chants you will hear on Saturday, October 22nd IN ENCINITAS at the corner of Leucadia Blvd. and El Camino Real starting at noon. It's the second Occupy North County protest, and there are more expected. And it's a great time to get involved.

Why, you might ask? Well, for one, are you part of the 99%? That's an easy question to answer. If you answered no, then you can stop reading if you want.

The second is that this is a growing movement that is asking for your presence. Physical, Mental, Emotional. We are in this together - one close community in North San Diego County joining with our brothers and sisters across the entire United States.

We can only bring the change we desire by putting external pressure on those who have the power to make the change. And if they aren't interested in helping, then together we can work to put people in office who are interested. And then we can pressure them to do the right thing once they're in.

This only happens if we all work together to make it happen. When you come out, it encourages your neighbors to come out. And when they come out, it encourages more. That is why we do these protests. To bring our community together.
