Well we all know why we love living in Encinitas, but just in case you have forgotten, I've included some statistics our research team, TrendGraphics, has available to all of us at Prudential California Realty. They get a large portion of their figures from the local Multiple Listing Service.
According to the latest figures, we only have a 28.6 minute commute which is about the same nationally. We also commute primarily by car versus carpooling which I experience as our California lifestyle. About 10.4 percent of us work from home, which could be one reason our community enjoys our lifestyle, while the national average is about 5.2 perecnt.
The violent crime rate is lower than the county of San Diego at 3 percent versus a 5 percent crime rate countywide. Nationally, the average crime rate is 4 percent. The property crime rate is only 1 percent lower than the county and nation. So we have kept our crime in check and a big THANK YOU to our local police. So I am happy to report things are SAFE IN ENCINITAS!
