Bicyclist Airlifted to Hospital After Colliding with Car on Coast Highway in Encinitas
The man suffered neck and head trauma and facial lacerations.
A bicyclist was seriously injured after he collided with a parked car in the 1700 block of S. Coast Highway Wednesday night just before 6:30.
The man was airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla after suffering neck and head trauma and facial lacerations, according to, who was on the scene as paramedics responded and spoke to the fire captain on duty. A spokesperson for the San Diego Sherriff’s Department later said those injuries were non-life threatening.
