Celebrate Life This 9/11 Weekend

This weekend will mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It’s important to take a moment on Sunday and stop and remember the innocent who lost their lives and the people who risked theirs trying to save others. But it's also important to take some time and be grateful for what you have.

In Carlsbad the , 6628 Santa Isabel St., will be hosting a free tribute for the community on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The La Jolla Symphony and Chorus (LSJ&C) will perform a free concert under the baton of Choral Director David Chase.

The performance is part of the “Rolling Requiem” project, a nationwide musical movement to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 with performances of Mozart’s Requiem.

The LJS&C Carlsbad performance will be a Community Sing, with audience members invited to participate.           

Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
