Cooler Weather, Showers on Tap This Week

The National Weather Service says there's a chance of rain later in the week.

The first full week of March will bring a mixture of clouds and sunshine through Thursday, when a cold storm from the northwest may arrive with showers, the National Weather Service predicts.

The forecast for Encinitas:

Sunday night: Cloudy, with a low around 52. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 61. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60.

Thursday night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.
