DEMA Gives a Taste of its Upcoming Fashion Show

The Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association held a preview at Detour Salon Tuesday of its upcoming 5th Annual Lifestyles Fashion Show.

The May 18 event will feature 25 years of downtown Encinitas styles, DEMA’s assistant director Rick Moore told Patch.

“Our show will highlight the amazing depth and diversity of fashions available in our downtown, from timeless to trendy, from playful to professional, and from Bali to Sweden!” he stated.

Proceeds will benefit Carol’s House & Other Community Resource Center Programs, according to the event’s DEMA page, which also has the following details of the event:

This year’s event, showcasing 25 years of diverse and unique fashions of local retailers, will be held in the banquet room of the Encinitas Community & Senior Center (1140 Oakcrest Park Drive). The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30pm featuring wine, beer and appetizers from nearby restaurants. After the reception, the runway models will take the stage at 8:00pm accompanied by the music of local DJ Gabe Vega.

Ticket pricing is $25 for general admission and $40 for VIP. VIP guests will have reserved seating and receive a swag bag. All proceeds will benefit the Community Resource Center. Tickets will be on sale online and at the Encinitas 101 office on Monday, March 25.
