Eat and Party for a Worthy Cause in Encinitas this Weekend

Whole Foods and Solace & Moonlight Lounge are joining forces for women in need.

Encinitas' is teaming up with Whole Foods Market Encinitas for a tasty way to help women get the microcredit loans they need.

takes place March 12 at Whole Foods. The beneficial event is featuring local singers and musicians, a silent auction and raffle, local wines and beers and, of course, lots of great food.

Party for a Cause will cost $15 and include the following items:

  • Yellowtail, Albacore Tuna & Grass-fed Beef Tartare Station
  • Niman Ranch Pork Belly Taco Station
  • Carlsbad Aquafarms Oysters
  • Caramelized Apple and Duck Prosciutto Flatbreads
  • Burrata Toast with Balsamic Pickled Spring Strawberries
  • Arugula Pesto, Sweet Potato Pancakes with Spiced White Shrimp

You’ll also be able to snag $5 wines, $3 craft beers, $4 Pineapple-infused tequila margaritas and $2 water and energy drinks to keep yourself hydrated throughout the night.

Proceeds will benefit Whole Planet Foundation, which is a is a Whole Foods Market foundation that funds poverty alleviation worldwide where the company sources products. The nonprofit’s mission is to empower those living in developing-world communities with microcredit and the chance to create or expand a home-based business and lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Party for a Cause will help provide microcredit loans to woman-owned, home-based businesses in the U.S. and in 48 countries across Latin America, Asia and Africa.
