Encinitas Yoga Instructor Reinvigorated with Obscure Yoga Practice

Tom Kelly, of Soul of Yoga, recently began practicing the Five Tibetan Rites.

Tom Kelly, of Soul of Yoga, has been practicing yoga for more than four decades and recently began incorporating a little-known sequence called the Five Tibetan Rites into his daily routine—something he says makes him feel more invigorated. Kelly has also relieved some aches and pains, he added.

It is said the rites work by speeding up the spinning of the body’s seven chakras.

Saragema Wellness center explains chakras and the rites’ effect on them on its YouTube page:

The body has seven key Chakras or Vortexes, like magnetic centres. They revolve at great speed in the healthy body, but when slowed down -- is just another name for old age, ill health and senility. The quickest way to regain health, youth, and vitality is to start these magnetic centres spinning again.

The primary function of the 5 Rites is to optimize the functioning of our Chakras by speeding up the rate at which they spin.
