Pumpkin patches, a corn maze, hay rides, a general store, and petting zoo await you this time of year at Bates Nut Farm located at 15954 Woods Valley Road in Valley Center.
You'll find some of the biggest pumpkins in all of San Diego county. If you want to take home a giant pumpkin, head over soon. "The big pumpkins go fast," an employee told Patch.
They also make great photo-ops. Some of these pumpkins are bigger than your little pumpkins at home.
Bates Nut Farm is dog-friendly and open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays through Halloween, and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends through Oct. 31.
