‘Kids Free San Diego’ Deals Coming in October

The promotion provides free admission to local attractions, food and more.

More than 100 San Diego hotels, restaurants and attractions will take part in a "Kids Free San Diego" promotion during the month of October, the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Wednesday.

"For more than 25 years, our partners at the San Diego Zoo had a very popular and successful Kids Free Month every October, and we basically exploded their program and made it into a destination-wide offering," said Joe Terzi, ConVis president and CEO.

According to the agency, the idea is to get families to extend the summer traveling season into October, when tourism traditionally falls off.
